High-precision electronics manufacturing requires water purity at the molecular level. Even trace ions can cause defects in semiconductor wafers and microelectronic components. Our client in Malaysia faced a dual challenge: ensuring a reliable on-site supply of ultra-pure water (with conductivity ≤0.1 μS/cm) and deploying a system robust enough to maintain peak performance in Malaysia's high-humidity, high-temperature tropical climate, where equipment corrosion and microbial growth are constant concerns.
Our Solution: An Integrated "Activated Carbon + UF + Resin Softening" System
We designed and implemented a customized 5-ton-per-hour (TPH) ultra-pure water system, engineered for reliability and environmental adaptability.
Multi-Stage Purification Process: Our integrated treatment train ensures comprehensive contaminant removal:
● Activated Carbon Filtration: Effectively removes chlorine, chloramines, organic matter, and other oxidants to protect downstream membranes and resins.
● Ultrafiltration (UF): Provides an absolute barrier against colloids, microbes, and suspended solids, achieving a high SDI (Silt Density Index) suitable for high-purity applications.
● Ion Exchange Softening: Hardness ions (Calcium, Magnesium) are removed via resin exchange to prevent scaling in subsequent processes and ensure stable system operation.
