Function Description

The core function of the Belt Filter Type Thickeners is to separate solid particles from liquid in slurries through a combination of gravity concentration and pressure filtration. The working process mainly includes the following steps:

Slurry Feeding

The slurry to be treated is evenly fed onto the gravity concentration zone of the filter belt through the feeding device.

Gravity Concentration

In the gravity zone, most of the free water in the slurry is removed by gravity, and the slurry gradually forms a filter cake with a certain thickness.

Pressure Filtration

The filter cake enters the pressure filtration zone, where it is squeezed by the upper and lower filter belts under pressure. This further removes the capillary water in the filter cake, reducing its moisture content.

Filter Cake Discharge

The dewatered filter cake is continuously discharged from the end of the filter belt, while the filter belt is cleaned by the cleaning device to ensure the next filtration cycle's efficiency.
