Nutrient Dosing System

Our Nutrient Dosing System is a high-precision, automated solution designed to deliver essential nitrogen and phosphorus supplements tailored to wastewater treatment processes.
By precisely regulating nutrient input, the system ensures that microorganisms in biological treatment units maintain optimal metabolic activity, thereby guaranteeing efficient nutrient removal (such as total nitrogen and total phosphorus) and stabilizing effluent water quality. The skid-mounted integrated design simplifies on-site installation, reduces space occupation, and facilitates unified maintenance and management. It is widely applicable to various biological treatment scenarios, effectively solving problems such as insufficient indigenous nutrients in wastewater and reduced treatment efficiency caused by seasonal fluctuations.

    Technical Specifications

Our Nutrient Dosing System offers two core models to adapt to different treatment scales and process requirements. The key technical parameters, including the precise dosage range and recommended solution concentration, are detailed in the following table:

    Nutrient Dosing System 3
    Key parameters
    Model Nutrient Type

    Dosage Range

    (as target element)

    Recommended Solution Concentration

    Applicable Treatment Scale (m³/d)

    QL-NU-200 Urea (Nitrogen Source) 1-10 mg/L(as N) 10-30% 50-500
    Phosphates (Phosphorus Source) 0.5-3 mg/L (as P)
    QL-NU-500 Urea (Nitrogen Source) 2-15 mg/L(as N) 10-30% 500-2000
    Phosphates (Phosphorus Source) 0.8-5 mg/L(as P)

Note: The dosage range can be flexibly adjusted according to the actual water quality (such as COD/N/P ratio), biological activity, and effluent discharge standards. Customized models are available for special treatment scales.

    Applications

    1 (27)
    Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) Systems
As a core supporting equipment for BNR systems, it accurately supplements nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients to maintain the C:N:P ratio required for the growth of nitrifying bacteria, denitrifying bacteria, and phosphorus-accumulating organisms, ensuring efficient removal of total nitrogen and total phosphorus from wastewater.
    2 (15)
    A/O and A²/O Processes
In anaerobic/aerobic (A/O) and anaerobic/anoxic/aerobic (A²/O) processes, it targets nutrient deficiencies in different reaction zones (such as anoxic zones and aerobic zones) for precise dosing, enhancing denitrification and phosphorus uptake effects and stabilizing process operation.
    3 (25)
    Industrial Wastewater Biotreatment
Suitable for biological treatment of industrial wastewater with low nutrient content, such as chemical, electronics, printing and dyeing, and pharmaceutical wastewater. It supplements the lack of nitrogen and phosphorus in wastewater, promoting the proliferation of microorganisms and improving the removal efficiency of organic matter and toxic substances.
    4 (16)
    Seasonal Nutrient Supplementation
It responds to seasonal changes in wastewater quality and quantity (such as reduced nutrient concentration in rainy seasons, decreased biological activity in low-temperature seasons, etc.). Through automatic dosage adjustment, it ensures stable biological treatment efficiency throughout the year.
    5 (18)
    Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants
Used in municipal wastewater treatment plants with unbalanced influent nutrient ratios, especially in areas with high domestic sewage organic matter content but low nitrogen and phosphorus, to optimize the biological treatment effect and meet strict effluent standards.

    Control System

The system is equipped with an intelligent control system to achieve full-process automated and precise management, with the following core functions:

    Nutrient Dosing System 9
    DO-based Automatic Dosing Control
It is connected with dissolved oxygen (DO) sensors in the biological reaction tank. By monitoring the real-time DO concentration, it indirectly reflects the biological activity, and automatically adjusts the nutrient dosage according to the preset control logic to avoid insufficient or excessive dosing.
    Nutrient Dosing System 10
    Redundant Dosing Pumps
Adopts a dual-pump redundant design (one main and one standby). When the main pump fails, it can automatically switch to the standby pump within 3 seconds, ensuring continuous dosing without interrupting the treatment process. The pump body is made of corrosion-resistant materials (such as PVDF) to adapt to different nutrient solutions.
    Nutrient Dosing System 11
    Remote Monitoring and Control Capability
Supports connection to the central control system of the wastewater treatment plant through MODBUS, PROFINET, and other communication protocols. Operators can remotely monitor key parameters such as dosage, solution level, and pump operation status through the upper computer, and issue dosing adjustment instructions. At the same time, the system has an automatic alarm function for abnormal conditions (such as low liquid level, pump failure, etc.), which is convenient for timely troubleshooting.
    Nutrient Dosing System 12
    Data Recording and Tracing
Automatically records the dosing amount, water quality parameters, and equipment operation status in real time, and generates historical data reports and trend curves, which can be exported and printed to meet the needs of environmental monitoring and quality traceability.
