Working Principle
In an alkaline medium at 120℃~124℃, potassium persulfate oxidant is added to oxidize ammonia, ammonium salts, nitrites and most organic nitrogen compounds in the water sample into nitrates. Then, the total nitrogen content is determined by the alkaline potassium persulfate digestion-ultraviolet spectrophotometric method in the form of nitrate nitrogen.
